Brand Payout Terms

Version 3, last updated 2026-10-16

This is a working draft prepared by Vibel for brand and internal review. It describes how paying creators for content works today, not a feature that is planned. If a term here does not match what you see in the product, the product is correct and this page is behind - tell us at the address below.

These terms describe how Vibel calculates and tracks payments to creators for a campaign you run through Vibel, operated by HAVA Export B.V., trading as Vibel (“Vibel,” “we”). They apply alongside our Terms of Service.

Who pays the creator

You (the brand) are the contracting party for a creator deal, and you pay the creator - either directly, or through your own account with a licensed payment provider (for example Stripe) that Vibel instructs on your behalf under your authorization. Vibel never receives, holds, or retains creator funds, and does not operate a wallet or balance of its own. The provider you use handles onboarding, identity verification, and the actual movement of money; any fee that provider charges is between you and that provider, not Vibel.

What Vibel does

Vibel calculates what a creator is owed under the deal terms you agreed with her, instructs the payment (when you use a connected provider), tracks the status of each payment, and reconciles the record against what the provider reports. Vibel records are the basis for the self-billed statement described below; Vibel does not decide the amount on its own authority, and a creator's payout instruction is frozen at issue so the record and the payment can never silently disagree.

Vibel's own fees

Separately from what you pay the creator, Vibel may charge its own service fees: a subscription fee, and two usage-based fees, shown to you before either is charged (/admin/fees, and on each campaign/deal):
  • A marketplace fee (default 15%) on the creator fees of a job placed on the Vibel UGC marketplace - never charged on a direct deal you struck with a creator outside the marketplace.
  • A content fee (default 1.5%) on the ad spend or GMV behind a creator's content, whenever that content runs as an ad - on a direct deal AND a marketplace one, on top of the marketplace fee where both apply.
Vibel never charges 15% on a direct deal. These are Vibel's revenue, never netted out of what a creator receives. For merchants who install Vibel through the Shopify App Store, these fees are billed through Shopify App Pricing (a monthly subscription plus usage-based charges, including agency-negotiated terms on a private plan where applicable); you can see accumulated usage and the estimated fee in the app before it is invoiced. If your subscription predates this wording, you will be asked to re-approve the updated usage terms before the marketplace fee is reported against it; the content fee reports under either version of the wording.

Creators you bring yourself

If you bring a creator to Vibel yourself, meaning she was not already on Vibel before you invited her, she is a “brand-brought” creator for your brand. Vibel charges 15% and 1.5% on a marketplace deal with any other creator (one you found, or who found you, through Vibel's marketplace); it charges 0% of both fees on your deals with a brand-brought creator, for as long as you work with her, for the lifetime of that pairing.

Not going around Vibel

For 12 months after a creator relationship first formed through Vibel's marketplace (a campaign, application, or introduction made on Vibel), you agree not to move that specific creator relationship off Vibel to avoid Vibel's fees for deals that would otherwise run through it. This does not stop you from working with a creator you already knew before Vibel introduced you, and does not apply to a brand-brought creator, who was never subject to these fees in the first place.

Self-billed statements

Where self-billing applies to a creator payment, Vibel issues a statement on the creator's behalf (the “zelffacturatie”/self-billing convention), naming the real parties and the real amount; it does not create a second, different number from the payout instruction behind it.

Assignment

We may assign or transfer this agreement, in whole or in part, to an affiliate or group company (including a successor entity operating Vibel) by giving you written notice; your rights under this agreement are not reduced by such a transfer.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any dispute not resolved informally is submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam.
