How the demo works

The demo (/demo) is a one-click entry into a fully seeded demo brand: 90 days of Shopify orders, ad spend across channels, support tickets and reviews already loaded, so every surface, Home, the snapshots, Products, Business health, has real-looking numbers to explore instead of an empty new account.

No signup is needed to look around. The guided tour's own sign-up call to action, when you are ready, links to /onboarding to create your own brand.

Every mutating action on the demo brand is blocked server-side, not just disabled in the UI. A demo brand carries a permanent demo_mode flag, and every write path, settings, connections, inbox replies, promos, purchase orders, checks that flag before touching a table and refuses with a plain "this is a demo brand" message if it is set.

This is separate from the smaller, temporary demo-data fallback other brands see: a brand you create for real shows synthetic fill data on a surface only until real data from a connected source lands there, marked with a demo pill. The seeded tour brand stays demo forever and is never meant to hold real data.
