Shoppable videos on your store
Upload vertical videos, tag the products in them, then add the Shoppable video block in your Shopify theme editor so shoppers can watch and buy.
What it does
Shoppable videos shows your vertical videos on your own storefront, as a carousel, a row of round stories or a grid, with the tagged products one tap away. Videos are stored in your own Shopify files, and nothing shows on your storefront until you turn it on.
Turn it on and add videos
Each Shopify store has its own switch, so pick the store first if you have more than one.
- 1Open Creatives > Library > Shoppable videos.
- 2If you see 'One more Shopify permission needed', click 'Grant access in Shopify' and approve. Vibel needs permission to write files and metaobjects, and nothing else about your store changes.
- 3If you see 'Shoppable video is off for this store', turn on the 'Shoppable video for this store' switch.
- 4Click 'Choose videos to upload' (MP4 or MOV, up to 200 MB each), or use 'Import from Instagram' to bring in Reels you have the rights to use.
- 5Wait until Shopify finishes processing. A video shows 'Processing' until it is ready.
Tag products
Tagging is what turns a video into something shoppers can buy from.
- 1On a video, type in the 'Add product...' box and pick the product.
- 2Or click 'Suggest products' for a free match on the caption. 'Match by image (1 credit)' reads the picture instead.
- 3For many videos at once, click 'Tag all' and approve the matches. Nothing is tagged until you approve it.
- The 'Placements' field accepts: home, all_collections, all_products, collection:handle, product:handle.
Add the block to your theme
Once videos are tagged, place the widget where you want shoppers to see it.
- 1In Shopify, open Online Store > Themes > Customize.
- 2Open the page you want, for example the home page or product template.
- 3Click Add section (or Add block), then pick 'Shoppable video' under Apps.
- 4Choose the 'Widget style' (Carousel, Stories or Grid) and 'Which videos', then Save.
- 5For a floating bubble instead, open Theme settings > App embeds and switch on 'Shoppable video floating'.
What you will see, and if it does not work
The page shows 'Shoppable video is on for this store' and a 'Where it shows' list that names each video and its places. On your storefront the block appears with your tagged videos.
If you see 'Connect a Shopify store first' or 'needs to be reconnected', click 'Open Connections' and reconnect Shopify. If an upload ends with 'Upload failed. Try again.', retry with a smaller file. If a video shows 'Failed', delete it ('Delete this video from Shopify?') and upload it again.
