Getting started
Set up your costs for true profit (COGS + operating costs)
Enter product costs and your recurring bills so Vibel can show real contribution margin instead of vanity ROAS.
Two kinds of cost
Contribution margin is only as good as the cost data you give Vibel. There are two places to enter it.
Per-SKU costs (COGS, shipping and lead time) live in Settings > Costs. They power contribution-margin truth and velocity-aware reordering. Lead time is production days plus shipping or container days.
Recurring operating costs (rent, software, salaries, the real bills) live in the Operating costs surface. The per-SKU estimates are guesses; operating costs are your actual recurring spend, entered as bills.
Enter per-SKU costs
Open Settings > Costs and enter cost and lead time for your SKUs. Cost groups (Settings > Cost groups) let you set a cost once for a group of related variants instead of one by one.
Good to know
- Enter costs in your store base currency; Vibel normalizes everything else to it.
- Missing costs are the most common reason margin looks wrong. Fill them first.
Enter operating costs
Open Operating costs, add your recurring bills by category, and Vibel builds a year of actual cost by category. You can also reconcile estimated shipping against real carrier invoices here.
