Product testing: kill or scale
The /testing board scores every SKU as SCALE, KEEP, or KILL based on real ad spend, orders, and your supplier costs versus the break-even ROAS. Dropshipping stores only.
What it shows
Product testing (/testing) is available when your store type is set to Dropshipping. It shows every SKU you have sold in the last 30 days alongside its ad spend (split proportionally by revenue share), order count, current ROAS, break-even ROAS, and estimated profit per order.
Each row receives one of three verdicts: SCALE (comfortably above break-even), KEEP (still testing or marginal), or KILL (below break-even with enough spend to be confident).
Break-even ROAS and supplier costs
Break-even ROAS is calculated from your selling price, supplier cost, shipping cost, and a 2.9% transaction fee. Without supplier and shipping costs entered, the board assumes zero variable cost, which will make every product look profitable. Enter your real costs per SKU for accurate verdicts.
Each row has an inline cost form. Type in the supplier cost and shipping cost and save. The verdict updates immediately.
Good to know
- A product with a 20% margin needs a 5x ROAS to break even. At 50% margin the threshold is 2x. Enter costs to see your real number.
- KILL means: you have spent at least 1x the selling price on ads and the product is still below break-even. Below that spend floor the verdict stays KEEP because there is not yet enough data.
- SCALE means the current ROAS is at least 20% above break-even, and there is at least one order.
How to use it
- Set your store type to Dropshipping in Settings > Store.
- Open /testing.
- Enter supplier cost and shipping cost for each SKU in the inline form.
- Act on KILL rows first: turn off their ads.
- Increase budget on SCALE rows.
- Leave KEEP rows running until they have more data.
