Store type: inventory vs dropshipping

Set your store type to inventory or dropshipping. The choice unlocks dropshipping-only surfaces (product testing board, supplier costs) and hides features that do not apply.

What the setting does

Settings > Store (/settings/store) includes a Store type field. Set it to 'Dropshipping' if you buy from a supplier per order and never hold stock yourself. Set it to 'Inventory' if you purchase in bulk and warehouse your own products.

Dropshipping mode unlocks the Product testing board (/testing) and per-SKU supplier and shipping cost fields. Inventory mode keeps the stock-level forecast, reorder alerts and purchase-order drafting.

Both modes share everything else: ad channels, analytics, email, creators, Coach actions.

Good to know

  • You can switch the setting at any time. Vibel re-gates the relevant surfaces immediately.
  • Hybrid brands (some stocked, some drop-shipped) should pick the model that covers most of their SKUs and use cost overrides for the exceptions.

How to change it

  1. Go to Settings > Store.
  2. Find the Store type field and choose Inventory or Dropshipping.
  3. Save. The Product testing link appears in the sidebar when dropshipping is active.
