Your first sync: what to expect

After you connect a source, Vibel syncs in the background and your surfaces fill in. Here is what happens and in what order.

It runs in the background

Connecting a source kicks off a sync automatically. You do not have to trigger anything. Data flows into the event stream, projections update the live picture, and your surfaces start filling in.

What fills first

Shopify orders and revenue land first and light up the dashboard, the weekly report and cohorts. Ad spend and ROAS appear once each ad platform finishes its pull. Email numbers appear after Klaviyo syncs.

Good to know

  • Surfaces with no real data yet show demo data so you can see the layout. A demo pill marks them.
  • True profit only appears once you have entered your costs.

If a surface looks empty or wrong

Give the first sync a little time to finish. If numbers still look off, check that the source is connected in Settings > Connections and that your costs are entered, since missing costs are the most common cause of surprising margin numbers.
