Connecting Google Analytics (GA4)
GA4 connects read-only, for sessions and conversion-rate context next to your real revenue. One Google service account covers GA4, Search Console and Google Ads together.
What GA4 adds here
GA4 feeds read-only sessions and conversion-rate figures into the attribution picture alongside your actual Shopify orders. It starts flowing right away once connected, unlike Google Ads, which separately waits on a developer-token approval.
Connect it
Prefer one click? Use 'Connect with Google' in Settings > Connections and check the GA4 box; then use 'Choose from your account' to pick the right property from a live list instead of hunting for an ID.
The manual path reuses the same service-account key as Search Console, so if that is already set up there is nothing new to create.
- 1If you have not already, enable the Google Analytics Data API in Google Cloud Console, same project as your other Google keys.
- 2In GA4, go to Admin, Property, Property Access Management, Add, and paste the service-account email (ending in iam.gserviceaccount.com), role Viewer.
- 3In GA4 Admin, Property Settings, copy the Property ID (digits only).
- 4In Vibel, paste the same JSON key plus the Property ID plus Market, then Add connection.
- Only making a fresh Google service account for the first time? Create it in IAM & Admin, Service Accounts, skip the role-grant step (GA4/Search Console do not use project roles), then generate a JSON key under its Keys tab.
